Q. How would you describe yourself?
I am a Passionate writer. I used to write with a purpose of creating awareness regarding social issues related to women's in such a way that would lead to a positive change in society.
Q. Tell us something about the books that you have written and the story behind them.
I have written two Books. One is I am My Papa's Princess ( Fiction). This book tells the importance of having a girl child. The other is Change Begins with Ourselves (Self help). This book tells that if we want to see the change in the world, we have to begin with ourselves & that begins when we will change our attitude & our thinking towards various perspectives.
Q. What place does writing hold in your life, how has been your writing journey so far?
Writing is my passion since my college life. One & half year back I started my passion through Facebook. My first poem, Sister's Relation was published as a note on Facebook. After that i started my own blogs. It enouraged me a lot & then i started my writing career as a Blogger on Momspresso , Author on women's web & Qwerty Thoughts. All the stories & poems written by me are published at Qwerty Thoughts. With the passage of time it enhanced my passion & lend me up in becoming an Author.
Q. What is your writing process, a typical writing day routine?
My writing process includes writing a piece daily whether it be a few lines or a paragraph only as it creates a continuous flow in writing.
Q. What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
In my First Book Promotion, techniques like promoting books on my own page, sharing it on social handles have been effective for me.
Q. What do you think makes a book sell, or makes a reader buy it?
In my view, it is the content of the book, the publishing services including proofreading, editing with cover image, its layout and promotion which makes a book sell.
Q. What's the most moving or affecting thing a reader has said to you?
The most moving thing a reader said to Me about my book was It is really a beautiful & a heart touching story, the people who knows Indian mythology behind kanyadaan definitely can't stay without liking it.
Q. What are your favourite three books, and why?
My Favourite three Books are
1) You Can Win- A self help book by Shiv Khera which tells that if we have a positive attitude we can win no matter whatever the circumstances are.
2) Everything Happens For a Reason- A self help book by Kate Bowler. It tells that we should always be ready to accept whatever happens in life . If anything good happens we should try to do our best & if anything wrong happens learn a lesson from it & move ahead.
3) 7 Habits of Highly Effective People- A self help book by Stephen Covey. It tells that our values govern our behavior while principles ultimately determines the consequences.
Q. Who are your favourite three authors and what do you like the most about them?
My Favourite three Authors are-
1) Munshi Premchand- The best thing i liked in his novels was the way he has explained the critics of social issues in such an easy & understandable way that has conveyed his message well to the society & has grab the attention of reader that has lend him to become a famous Indian Novelist.
2) Swami Vivekanand - The best thing about his writings is he used to write quotes & books on the basis of his real experiences in a simple way that has become an inspiration for others.
3) Harivansh Rai Bachchan- The best thing about his writings is the way he has used words so effectively that has grab the interest people in his books.
Q. Tell us about the books that you are currently writing and their progress.
My Books that i am currently writing are
1) Collection of My English Poems.(Editing).
2) Way To Success.(Editing)
3) Collection of My Hindi Poems.(Editing)
4) Key to Happy Parenting.(Editing)
Q. What challenges do you think are faced by writers, what's the worst thing about the book industry according to you?
Writer's face The shortage of funds. Promotion of Books. The worst thing about the Book industry is there are some of the firms that don't work towards the promotion of book, as its not important that unless & untill the writer has a reference, their books can't be promoted.
Q. Apart from writing, what goals do you want to achieve in life?
My goals apart from writing is to work towards social issues. Helping women's to be Self depend by having their own opinion , taking their stand & raising voice if any unfair thing happens.
Q. How was your experience of getting published on Qwerty Thoughts and how has it contributed to your success?
I had a great experience of getting published on Qwerty Thoughts. Qwerty Thoughts is a great platform for budding writers which gives them a chance to explore their thoughts, their views & their words in the form of writings. Since the day I have joined Qwerty Thoughts I wrote stories & poems which got published on their website, got a good response and that has enhanced my passion & I ended up becoming an Author. Qwerty thoughts has a good assistance regarding queries, a good follow up with writers which encourage writers to give their best. And they also have a large audience reach & great promotion techniques that matters a lot for an Author.
Q. What message do you want to share with budding writers?
My 3 key points are there for budding writers that i have learned from my experience.
1) Always ready to take criticism as it helps to improve your writing day by day.
2) Never think that other's are perfect & you are not. Nobody is perfect.
3) Never bother what people will say.
